On duty are officers Krishna Singh and Chris Douglas. Trinidadian Krishna took an unusual route into the ranks of Bermuda's police service. He was an accountant in Trinidad but then went to Bermuda on vacation and never left. He decided to become a police officer for a short time but has now been in the force for 27 years. Krishna's day begins by taking his colleague Chris to the Caribbean food truck business he owns. The pair enjoy a breakfast snack in the sun, but it's not long before they are called into serious action. Bermuda may be home to the rich and famous, but it also has its fair share of societal problems, including squatting. A homeless man has been living in a government building, and it's down to Krishna and Chris to help ensure the man leaves the premises within 24 hours. Officers discover the squatter has indeed heeded their warning, but later PC Douglas encounters the same man in a park, and the team advise him about where to seek further help. On the road, no-nonsense traffic officer Peter-Paul Taylor deals with a man riding an unlicensed moped. Meanwhile, at the island's airport, police K9 unit dog handler Robin MacNab is on duty with her detection dog Roni. According to Robin, this unique pooch has a surprisingly European background - the Netherlands. Robin gives Roni commands in Dutch rather than in English. Roni brings the attention of the airport team to what could be illegal drugs being carried in the luggage of a pair of American tourists. But further investigation by customs reveals it was a false alarm, allowing the holidaymakers travelling to a family wedding to leave without charge.
